About Me

I graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MA in History of Art in 2009.​

I am interested in emotional depth. My abstract works explore the emotive qualities of colour and line taking inspiration from the never-ending beauty of the natural world. I am often drawn to a limited colour palette and I love exploring how much can be achieved within its confines. My pieces are full of layers, often only visible when the viewer looks closely. As with human beings my works have so much more going on underneath the surface than initially meets the eye.

I've always been interested in history and I think my work is infused with that. I love how over time nature reclaims all things for herself making things more beautiful in the process.
